Which Daily Vitamin Should I Use?

Whether you're brand new or a veteran to the daily vitamin dilemma, this post is for you.

For the longest time I was totally against using #dailyvitamins. The reason being, I felt I ate healthy enough. I didn't really understand what a daily vitamin could offer me, that I wasn't already getting from my diet. Why double dip, when I don't need it?

Another thing that bothered me with daily vitamins was that I had no idea WHERE the ingredients were coming from. Were they vegan or not? Organic or not? Also is there proof that the vitamins in the product are actually being absorbed and helping my body? As a registered nurse, with a background in biochemistry, I really wanted the proof that what I was using was worth my money and doing its job. That was really hard to find. If I was going to commit to remember to take some giant fucking pill everyday, I need to know that it was working.

I finally found a company that was able to answer all of those questions for me AND had proof that it worked. They're called Ritual. This is the one company I've found who answered my questions and met the standards I had set for a daily vitamin.

Here's Why I Love Them

  • NO NAUSEA!!!!!!!

  • Completely #VEGAN

  • Clinical trials back their claims

  • Tastes like a hint of mint, yum!

  • Simple ingredients without fillers

  • Only contains vitamins I need, not the stuff the average girl gets from her daily eating.

  • 3 simple options to choose from

  • Autorefills that are easy to adjust or cancel.

  • My skin and hair look better since I've started taking them

  • My workout recovery time are improved since I've started taking them

Three Daily Vitamin Options To Choose From

I'm currently using the Essential For Women, however, after Fatai and I have an official wedding, I'm planning to switch over to the Essential Prenatal! I'll share about that one later.

How do you know which daily vitamin will be best for you?

An equally important thing to consider before you purchase a daily vitamin, is how old you are and whether you're menstruating, planning to become pregnant or post-menopause. During these three periods of life our bodies process vitamins, hormones, and use energy differently.

For us young thangs the Essential For Women will fill the gaps we have in our nutrition. It's a simple daily vitamin so it ONLY contains those things proven to be missing from the average women's diet... a lot of other pills contain way too much and contributes to the nausea we feel after taking them. You'll get what you need to support blood and organ health (great for us that are anemic), help your body use the calcium you get from food to keep your bones strong, and maintain tissue structure, fight free radicals, and age well from within.

In the years before and after menopause, our bodies needs change. The Essential For Women 50+ provides the immune, heart bone, muscle support we need as those areas of the body change drastically.

If you're thinking about having a baby, then you should have been taking a prenatal vitamin months ago. The Essential Prenatal was designed for those us in our child-bearing years, and contains the 12 essential vitamins you'll need to prepare and support your baby's development. Plus just like the Essential For Women, you'll feel good knowing where the ingredients came from!

I hope this was helpful.
